>most sites say when the last time a member was on the site
Ah. Members that were not on the site recently are not supposed to be displayed at all that's why it was not really necessary to show last visit date. Regrettably due to current low amount of active members this would be strongly discourageable to new visitors so I turned it off. You may still see "usually responds in xxx time" marking and that is better indication of whether the user is really active or not.

>can you put a last time on the site date?
A what?

>will I receive a reply from the message sent while my location was set to the other location.
It does not depend on your current location, only depends on if that member likes what he sees or not.

>I just registered as a user and the system didn't allow me create a user-name so I can't login. Using my email just leads to wrong login.
Your email is your login. Make sure you use exactly the same one you entered during registration.

>Ideal would be to let users select a distance radius to fit their situation.
I can do this for now since the site is new and there are very few users, but potentially it's bad, because it can be very resource consuming, unless there is a relatively small maximum limit. Ok, tell me what maximum distance do you consider appropriate?

> How do I see other areas.
You can set your location manually in the settings if you want. It's the last option down the page.

>100, 150 , 200 miles
Are you really ready to drive 2-3 hours for something like this?

>would you be open to a greater distance?
I can make it any number but I don't think more than 50 miles would be practical.

>How do you "close" a message? No matter if I check a radio button about the status with the person or not, clicking "close" doesn't close it. In fact, nothing does. Shouldn't the whole thing just go away?
You hit close, you select the reason and you hit "OK". I could make those buttons instead of options, but people often perform one-hit action by accident. And yes, it goes away or you get a connection error message. I'm not sure what the problem is, it's quite straightforward, I tested it many times and I see in the logs that people successfully close connections. Anyone else has this problem?
>And what if none of the radio buttons apply?
You just select the one which is most appropriate to your situation. I honestly can't imagine outcomes that do not fall under one of "OK, Not OK, Nothing Happens".
>Actually, most helpful would be a "Notes" textbox to store a reminder about the exchange such as "Coming to town in Aug".. Of course, that would require you to keep another database:-(
The storage for it is nothing. Main problem is that the conception of the site is actually about privacy and limiting members exposure. In other words, if the member is not active and does not have open connection with you - you can't see his profile anyway. I'm gonna add notes though, it's not that big of a deal.
